introducing a 2012 couple! ta-dah! This photoshoot took place in kingston where they went to queens university and met…and fell in love…and ate malaysian food together. That’s right! Malaysian food! Apparently there’s a pretty siiick Malaysian restaurant in Kingston so that’s where we went to warm our bellies before the chilly fall shoot.
I love people who smile and laugh easily. People who easily give you a smile and laugh at your jokes whether they are actually funny or not. Bev + Ruben are such people. You can tell when you look at their photos that they like to laugh. As I was going through their shoot I found myself smiling at my computer screen. I like it when that happens!
Here are some of my fave shots from sohee and anthony’s engagement session. Sohee is my martial arts friend from way back so it’s kinda cool and weird to be apart of her wedding. I had a blast! especially at the end when we just sat around on my floor (because i have no furniture) and drank some cold beer. Thanks Sohee and Anthony for crawling under a metal fence and trespassing to get some of our shots! hahaha
syl and jimmy were super easy to shoot. I loved syl’s summer look and Jimmy’s skinny black tie. Our shoot took us to the quaint street of Leslieville in downtown toronto.
In my previous entry I mentioned how every year there’s always a few couples who have the worst luck with the weather. Syl + Jimmy are another prime example.
Every year I get a couple of clients that have the worst luck with the weather. Anne and Angel REALLLYYYY wanted to shoot at Stratford because of the many dates they shared there. Usually I don’t drive this far out of Toronto for an engagement session but I had to make an exception for this sweet couple.
this was an easy breezy photoshoot!
I found this one spot downtown that i saw that i really wanted to do an engagement shoot at. I thought christine and stan were the perfect couple for it BUT when we got there it had transformed into a huge contruction zone.
To tell the truth I was pretty nervous to shoot chris luk’s engagement session. Knowing that he knew the “tricks” of the trade it made me push myself a little harder. It was awesome though..it was a beautiful overcast day! I tried to utilize natural reflectors that I saw along the street from the floor and from the light reflecting off of the buildings in the financial district. Kitty and Chris were super easy to shoot as they had the “vogue” look down pat.
