It’s such an honor to be asked to photograph weddings but when a WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHER asks you to photographer his wedding it’s a double honor and the stress level doubles too kekeke
hehehe i’m going to take my sweet ass time posting chris’ engagement photos just to spite him..har har j/k
Here’s a quick peek at my day with chris and his fiance kitty.
We started off the day at rhia’s place to get kitty’s make up done (fantastic job rhia!)
We then shot around downtown Toronto in the financial district for the hot/smoky shots and went to cherry street for some fun/sweet shots.
i had so much fun shooting xiaoxi and lawrence. xiao showed up in a beautiful summer dress with emaculate makeup on her face (thanks to rhia)
we had a lot of fun chatting cause we discovered that we’re all climbers! we shot along cherry street by the waterfront and also walked over to some random places. it’s my favorite way of shooting. random.
oh my goodness what a windy day! jennifer and hao’s engagement session was quite the challenge with wind whirling jenn’s hair about. it was a little frustrating but we made it work. it’s always interesting to see how people respond to the camera. some are shy…almost like a rabbit in the headlights…others get goofy and silly…
finally!!!!! warm weather is here at last! it seems impossible to get just good weather in toronto..it’s either frigid cold…raining….or humid and hot! it was friggin HOT yesterday! good thing i only shoot engagement sessions later in the evening when the sun is not so hot over our heads.
i’m a tad behind with the blogging so now i’m blogging about a couple who are already married keke s’ok though i just wanted to share some photos with you. Susan and i attended the same church…now bernard has stolen her from us booo we’re sad to see her leave but happy for her at the same time. As a couple susan and bernard are SUPER SWEET! like you’ll get a cavity or barf…in a good way :P
i had so much fun shooting with ann and mike it was fantastic to get away from the typical locations and venture somewhere new. It keeps me inspired and excited to shoot. I didn’t really realize this until recently although this was told to me by my mentor. Shooting somewhere new also means scouting the location to ensure that the shoot runs smoothly. The best way to do this is to pick 3 to 5 locations or sets and with each of those locations you can arrange your couples in numerous ways. I usually try and pick 3 definite sets.
check it out
we went to the quaint town of kleinburg to shoot their engagement session. carmela and chris were both quite shy in front of the camera so i did my best to capture that cuteness on camera. such a sweet couple! :D
these two are softball lovers. can you tell?
lancy and collin are the type of couple who charm others by their warmth…something about them makes you feel so accepted and in return makes you wanna just love em back.
* their wedding photo to follow soon!
